Darn It! Inc System II

Jeff Glassman, President of Darn It! Inc. in New Bedford, MA stands amongst a section of his 516kW rooftop solar system on a beautiful New England day. Glassman first had Beaumont Solar install a 281.6kW system back in 2011. Seeing the benefits of the solar, Mr. Glassman contacted Beaumont Solar again to install an additional 234.5kW solar system. The Beaumont Solar engineering team designed this system to use a non-penetrating, ballasted solar racking system, as seen here prior to being laid out. The safety rails have been installed so now the Beaumont Solar installation team begins assembling the solar racking that will hold the solar panels. Most of the racking in now completely installed. String wiring is installed to the solar inverters prior to the solar panels being installed. As happens in New England, a little snow fell overnight, so the crew moves onto pipe and wire work to keep the job going. Although many of the older mill buildings tend to have complicated electrical services, like this one shown here, our highly trained and licensed electricians on staff are not wavered by it.
